Thank you for a very special stay. The hotel is clean and well priced, offers great location on the terrace alongside a beautiful river. The rooms are airy and neat, the bed is exceptionally comfortable. The restaurant serves delicious Italian food. Exceptional service, the breakfast is extensive and excellent. What is more, free Wi-Fi throughout the property was a nice bonus.

Contemporary but not quality. It was trying too hard to be unique and ended up like it had been fitted out by ikea which doesn't work in a hotel setting - everything seemed done on a tiny budget and ended up seeming cheap and rickety. We couldn't wait to leave.

Very good situation on the river in the city center

Small rooms with the nearly transparent (!) bathroom occupying 1/3 of the room, small beds (called "Queensize"?!), no minibar, no place for the luggage and clothes, parody of the closet, no place to hang towels in the bathroom. Uncomfortable underground parking having no access to the hotel. "Fourstar hotel with twostar equipment and services."

The location is wonderful in between the old city and beneath the river, the design of the rooms is nice and modern.

My room was at the water front near the old bridge and the noise of the river is dominant, to sleep with an open window isn't possible for noise- sensitive people

We had an amazing time exploring all Thun has to offer with Hotel Aare Thun as our base. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, ensuring our family felt welcome throughout our stay. The location was perfect, allowing us easy access to all the activities the area has to offer. From skiing on the nearby slopes to taking leisurely walks by the lake, there was never a shortage of family-friendly adventures to embark upon. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, and the breakfast buffet provided a great start to our days. We highly recommend Hotel Aare Thun for families visiting the area!

My children wanted a small play area or game room for some extra entertainment during our stay.

I recently stayed at a hotel in the middle of town for a weekend getaway. The location was perfect, with attractions, shopping, and restaurants all within walking distance. The breakfast was fantastic, with a spacious and bright restaurant overlooking the river. The variety of food options was great, and there was even a chef making omelets! The room was well-sized and didn't feel cramped, even with an extra bed. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when recommending restaurants. The wifi connection was convenient, only requiring one log-in with a voucher. it was a great stay with excellent location, delicious breakfast, and comfortable accommodations.

The bathroom being almost see-through. It looks fantastic but its not very practical. I'm sure this is fine for married couples, but for the non-married, or if you are friends sharing a room there is a privacy barrier that is missing.

This place is an absolute gem. Located in the very center of the old town, right by the river, it offers a breathtaking view of the beautiful surroundings. The convenience of having everything within walking distance is unbeatable. The staff here exceeded my expectations with their impeccable service. Not only were they extremely helpful, but they even assisted in bringing my mom's wheelchair. Their fast service and great local knowledge made my stay even more enjoyable. The amenities in the rooms were top-notch, with everything from heating to tea and coffee facilities provided. I especially loved the sitting area and the in-room safe.

This hotel is a true hidden gem that I highly recommend to everyone.

Striking, central riverside location - noise of rushing water far better than that from the Saturday night crowds which were a safe distance away.

The single room had too much furniture and was a bit bleak with the basic 60s-retro design. More self-service at Sunday breakfast, including drinks, than I would have expected in a four-star hotel.

The hotel offers a nice view of the castle. It has a stunning and fantastic location, near Musee d'art de Thun. There are bars and restaurants nearby. The restaurant is excellent, and the staff is very friendly.

Our recent visit to this hotel was absolutely fantastic. The location couldn't have been better. We were able to easily access all the major highlights and explore the city with ease. we were given a transportation card which provided us with free transportation and discounts on attraction tickets. The restaurant was also a standout point, offering excellent quality food and great service. We especially enjoyed the views from our room, which were stunning.

We did find that there was some noise disturbance from other rooms due to thin walls. , the lack of air conditioning on a hot night made it a bit uncomfortable to sleep.

The front desk staff were incredibly knowledgeable and kind, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. Despite the initial difficulty due to construction, the helpful people directing traffic made it hassle-free. The comfortable bed and modern room with a nice view of the river were a pleasant surprise. The hotel's great location allowed us to easily explore the nearby castle and church, and the public transportation in town was convenient. The breakfast was fantastic, with a variety of delicious foods in a roomy and light restaurant overlooking the river. We were amazed by the chef making omelets! our experience at Hotel Aare Thun was superb, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
